Kraftwerk announces ‘Autobahn’ anniversary edition and world tour⁠

This special release includes a Dolby Atmos Mix, Blu-ray audio disc, and picture disc vinyl.

Kraftwerk’s ‘Autobahn’ marks its 50th anniversary with a release package arriving March 7th, 2025. The band’s founder Ralf Hütter and engineer Fritz Hilpert have revisited the original 16-track master tapes to create an unprecedented Dolby Atmos Mix, offering listeners a deeper and more immersive journey through this influential recording.

The anniversary release includes a Blu-ray audio disc with multiple mix formats and exclusive visual content, the first-ever official Kraftwerk picture disc vinyl, and a comprehensive digital release across major streaming platforms.

Adding to the celebration, February 14th, 2025 will see the release of a special 7″ vinyl featuring a new edit of ‘Autobahn’ with ‘Kometenmelodie 2’ as its B-side.

The legendary electronic pioneers will commemorate this milestone with an extensive tour across North America and Europe. Starting in Philadelphia on March 6th, the tour will traverse major cities throughout March and April, including two appearances at the Coachella Festival. The European leg features a headline performance at the Forever Now Festival in Milton Keynes Bowl on June 22nd, followed by select shows in Stuttgart, Tuscany, and Sicily in July.
