Aurehl unveils ‘Yellow Shoe Ghost’ from upcoming album

Barcelona duo Aurehl releases ‘Yellow Shoe Ghost,’ a preview of their upcoming album ‘The First Ghost on Eris.’ The track weaves intricate soundscapes with compelling narratives, offering a glimpse of their new 11-track collection.

Drawing inspiration from Stephen King’s atmospheric storytelling and ‘The Overlook Hotel,’ Aurehl crafts an electronic narrative. The duo says “‘Yellow Shoe Ghost’ captures the essence of the unknown and the unsettling that lurks in the shadows of an otherwise ordinary place, turning the everyday into a surreal experience.”

Set in an old hotel, this haunting love story merges reality with the supernatural. Aurehl’s production pairs ethereal synths with organic elements, while precisely placed vocal echoes and ambient sounds create an immersive atmosphere.

Aurehl—comprising Itziar Lember and Jiroz—fuses synth-wave, dream pop, and trip-hop into a distinctive sound that bridges past and future. Following their 2023 ‘Smogland’ EP, this single demonstrates their artistic growth.
