German DJ and producer Robag Wruhme delivers a new contribution to the EG Podcast mix series. His latest musical journey, EG.1011, is now available on SoundCloud and Mixcloud.
The session features tracks from Joachim Spieth, Bonnie Cooth, Elijah & Grundy, Varhat, Four Tet, Passarani, Ero808 & Nxsty, Deano, Tom VR, Kevin Yost, Tal Fussman, Alexi Delano, Lokane, Oscar Mulero, Mary Yuzovskaya, Aphex Twin, Jens Zimmermann, Riccardo De Polo, Ben Klock & Fadi Mohem, Truncate, Sleeparchive, Jarduinage, Billy Delassandro, Jichael Mackson, Rosalía, Mind Condition, and DJ Rush.
In a witty statement, Wruhme shared his thoughts on the mix: “January is the month when many of my colleagues do ayurveda, avoid alcohol, eat healthy, work out like crazy, and try to let their soul dangle. I can’t do that. Too dangerous! Never change a running system—I’m going through, holding the pole for everyone until you get back. But there’s one thing different this January: once a year, a new podcast comes, and this year it’s on Electronic Groove. My booker from Triple One thinks the mix is tight, but I say it’s even tighter—no elevator has gone up or down this fast. Seriously, it could be awesome. See you soon!”
Based in Jena, Germany, Wruhme has shaped electronic music for over two decades. He first rose to fame as part of Wighnomy Brothers through dynamic productions and performances. His subsequent solo work on Kompakt and Pampa Records showcases his signature sound design. EG.1011 demonstrates Wruhme’s masterful curation, seamlessly blending Aphex Twin edits with tracks from Joachim Spieth and others.
