Berlin-based artist Ede has issued a public statement after discovering that several of his unreleased tracks—originally shared only with close friends—have been leaked and are now being sold on the black market for up to €300 per track. The issue, he says, extends beyond his own work: “This isn’t just happening to me – it’s affecting our whole music scene.”
In a heartfelt message posted to Instagram, Ede highlighted the strain this puts on artists: “Streaming pays almost nothing, and months of work, passion, and heart go into every track. Leaks and illegal sales destroy trust and the music we love.” Affected titles include ‘Move Your Booty’, ‘Thutchuka’, ‘Don’t Call Me’ (with Nowa), ‘Fuckn’ (with German Brigante), and ‘Down Down’.
As a temporary solution, Ede is now offering fans access to a private SoundCloud link via his Instagram subscription service. Supporters who subscribe will receive early access to exclusive tracks, nearly 200 unreleased works, and direct updates—without downloads—to maintain fairness and trust.
