Björk is set to unveil ‘Nature’s Manifesto,’ a sound installation in Paris this month, collaborating with French artist Aleph. This thought-provoking experience bridges the gap between past and present, nature and technology.

Running from November 20th to December 9th, 2024, at the Centre Pompidou, ‘Nature’s Manifesto’ blends art with activism. As part of a broader biodiversity forum, it launches an environmental campaign targeting youth.

Created through AI collaboration with IRCAM, the installation revives extinct animal calls alongside a spoken manifesto. This 3:40 auditory journey transports visitors to a lost world, highlighting pressing environmental issues.

Björk and Aleph shared their vision: “We wanted to share [the animals’] presence in an architecture representing the industrial age, far from nature. In the veins of the museum’s escalator, known as the ‘caterpillar,’ we aimed to remind citizens of endangered creatures’ raw vitality.”

This installation continues Björk’s environmental activism. Her Cornucopia tour and 2024 collaboration with Rosalía on ‘oral’ also addressed climate issues, with proceeds supporting Iceland’s salmon conservation.
