Budakid reimagines Pond’s ‘O, UV Ray’

Australian psychedelic rock outfit Pond has unveiled a new remix of their track ‘O, UV Ray’ by producer Budakid. The remix, available now through Spinning Top Records, arrives as the band prepares for their upcoming tour and marks the second remix from their latest album ‘Stung!’, following Andrew VanWyngarden’s (MGMT) take on ‘So Lo’.

On this occasion Amsterdam-based producer Budakid brings his signature ethereal touch to the track, transforming it into a dance floor-ready experience while preserving its emotional core. “‘O, UV Ray’ is one of the songs I listened to on repeat last year. The magic and feeling the chorus has for me is indescribable. I wanted to take this vibe to the dance floor so I could share this feeling with others while playing DJ sets,” Budakid explains.

Budakid is known for creating deep, emotionally resonant compositions that connect with listeners. His focus on unrestricted creative expression has led to releases on notable labels like Flores (his own imprint), Watergate, Permanent Vacation, Diynamic, All Day I Dream, Last Night On Earth, and Lost & Found.
