Gene Farris reveals 2025 club favorites ahead of TRANSITIONS

Gene Farris lives and breathes house music. A pioneer of Chicago’s underground and founder of Farris Wheel Recordings, he has spent the past three decades shaping the sound of the city—from early warehouse residencies to collaborations with the likes of Green Velvet, Jamie Jones, and Mark Knight.

As both a producer and DJ, Farris remains a driving force, known for his fearless blends, signature grooves, and enduring presence on the global stage.

To close out the year, Farris joins the stacked lineup for TRANSITIONS, a new seven-day festival from Auris Presents taking over Chicago’s key venues during New Year’s Week. Headlining his own Farris Wheel NYE takeover alongside Shiba San, Farris offers a snapshot of what’s been moving dance floors all year with a handpicked selection of standout tracks from 2025.
