Lorenzo Morresi announces new release ‘Nonsense’, shares single ‘Tucu Taca’

Italian multi-instrumentalist and producer Lorenzo Morresi is set to release his new EP, ‘Nonsense’, on April 16th, 2025, through his own label, Minus Me Plus World. Leading it is ‘Tucu Taca’, a percussive electro-samba cut released earlier this month.

Inspired by a rhythmic warm-up exercise used for funk guitar, ‘Tucu Taca’ layers whispered vocals with a dense groove of timbales, cymbals, and repeniques, building toward a vibrant, dancefloor-ready crescendo.

The remaining tracks on ‘Nonsense’ reflect Morresi’s range and production versatility. ‘Giungla’ brings distorted drums and glitchy textures in a darker, industrial-tinged journey. The title track, ‘Nonsense’, was recorded at the Museo del Synth Marchigiano using rare Italian vintage synths, including the Synket – the world’s first portable synthesizer. Rounding out the EP is a remix by Francisco, offering a playful electroclash rework that twists the original into a new club dimension.
