Born and raised in New York City, Michael Salvione, referred to simply as SALVIONE, has always surrounded himself with music from a young age. Salvione was lucky enough to be raised in the heart of the city before the glory days of nightlife havens such as Roxy, Crobar, Spirit, and even Pacha NYC have become just a memory in the New York nightlife scene. During his doctorate degree studies in physical therapy, Salvione began taking music production classes in New York City and hasn’t looked back since.
The sound behind Salvione’s music pays homage to the [now] classic house music scene that ignited his love of dance music with influence from musicians such as Danny Tenaglia, Nic
Fanciulli, Martin Ikin and more. Salvione’s music creates a harmonious blend of house, funk, and tech for an unparalleled energetic dance floor vibe throughout every live performance. Despite being a fairly new name within the international electronic scene, Salvione’s precision and conviction in live sets is delivered with the ease of a veteran. Setting the underground house scene ablaze with his first release in 2015, his “Industry Rule” EP is a 4 – track rollercoaster of high energy melodies and hip – shaking grooves that reached the beatport top 100 releases. Making waves on the scene, his discography includes the “Skellington” EP in 2017. The Visile Records release consists of two powerhouse singles, “Skellington” and “Sunset Soiree” and reached the Top 15 overall Beatport charts and placed Top 10 on the tech house charts. Following up with “Champion Sound” released on Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Editions, the singles solidified Salvione internationally with support received from the likes of Steve Bug, Roger Sanchez, Christian Nielsen and more.
Salvione has been graced with the opportunity to perform at iconic NYC venues such as Cielo, Pacha, Output, Avant – Gardner, and more with gigs alongside artists such as Dubfire, Loco Dice, Apollonia, Eats Everything, and more. Following festival gigs at The BPM Festival, Hyte Festival, and Electric Zoo in 2017, Salvione’s 2018 continued in similar fashion, playing the
HYTE Stage of Electric Zoo Festival, various Elrow performances, and international tours. In February 2019, Salvione released “Stella” on Griffintown Records with praise received through out the tech house community. Following the release, Salvione took Summer 2019 to embark on a new journey moving from his hometown of New York City to Barcelona, Spain. Soaking in the sights and sounds of Spain and Western Europe, Salvione has been dedicated to creating a bevy of new music to share with the world.
Through the global pandemic Salvione continued to push himself further and further. Working 1 on 1 in a masterclass with Toolroom, he started to truly shape his own signature sound which shines brightly in his track “Move With Me” which was released on Toolroom. As lockdowns lifted, Salvione headed to London to play for Toolroom and make his debut at the legendary
Ministry of Sound nightclub. While there, Salvione filmed one half of a documentary about his story which was released via Toolroom. Just prior to the release of the documentary, Salvione connected with one of his major influences and began to engineer for Danny Tenaglia. Working closely with Danny, he helped to polish off DT’s latest #1 hit, “The Brooklyn Gypsy”.
With his sights set on the future and his contribution to the collective, Salvione developed a new brand called ELEVATE. Salvione’s ELEVATE consists of a weekly radio show featuring mixes from himself and international guest DJs, a Facebook group and a newsletter consisting of top 5 tracks, production tips and tutorials, book/podcast recommendations, and a monthly binaural beat meditation made by Salvione himself. Through this new brand Salvione aims to raise the overall vibrati on of the house music community.
Looking for an even more meaningful connection, Salvione hopes to pass his knowledge on to the future generations of dance music producers through his Elevate Your Sound Academy.
