Claptone has returned to Exploited with ‘Doing the Disco’, his first release on the label in nine years. Produced alongside The Mekanism and Grammy-winning percussionist Jorge Bezerra, the track recently arrived after featuring in the masked artist’s sets for more than a year.
Built around crisp hi-hats, bongos, and looping percussion, ‘Doing the Disco’ also includes an alternative saxophone replay by Tom Barfod of Gary’s Gang’s ‘Do It at the Disco’.
The release reconnects Claptone with a label that played an important role in his early catalog, including ‘Another Night’, ‘No Eyes’, and ‘Cream’.
