Dam Swindle have announced their contribution to the ‘DJ-Kicks’ series, set for release on November 20th, 2026, through !K7. The Amsterdam-based duo becomes the first Dutch artists to contribute to the long-running compilation series, presenting a 74-minute mix that combines house classics, overlooked records, and new original material.

The project arrives as Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets celebrate their  Heist Recordings label’s 100th release. Alongside their work with the imprint, the pair remain involved in Amsterdam’s club culture through RadioRadio.

Recorded in their studio beneath Amsterdam’s Volkshotel, the compilation features five exclusive Dam Swindle productions selected from approximately 30 demos. Each track was developed with a specific part of the mix in mind.

“It was close to writing a whole album,” says Smeets.

The selection features music from Osunlade, Eli Escobar, Mr. De’, Makèz, Harvey Sutherland, S.A.M., musclecars, and Soundstream. Local artists D Stone and Nachtbraker also appear, with the latter contributing a bespoke introduction and outro containing fragments from Dam Swindle interviews.

“We wanted tracks that were special to us, but which nobody knew,” explains Smeets. “Those $5 bargains in the bin at your local record store.”

The tracklist reflects a balance between the duo’s individual approaches. While Smeets wanted to explore the eclectic direction of Henrik Schwarz’s 2006 ‘DJ-Kicks’ contribution, Dales favored a more club-oriented selection. The resulting mix moves between soulful house, deeper material, and more introspective sounds.

The first single, ‘I Want You’ featuring Allysha Joy, was released on October 7th, with the second single, ‘Keep On’, scheduled for October 28th.
