Nikka Lorak launches Cruel Kind with ‘Control’

The new label focuses on peak-time techno with melodic depth.

Belgian techno artist Nikka Lorak has launched her Cruel Kind label with its first release, ‘Control’.

The cut combines driving techno rhythms with cinematic elements and melodic tension, establishing the musical direction of the new imprint. Lorak describes Cruel Kind as “an independent label for electronic rockstars.”

The label will focus on peak-time techno shaped by powerful grooves, emotional storytelling, and rave culture. Its catalog is intended to connect large-scale festival energy with underground club settings.

Lorak was recently featured in an AlphaTheta Pioneer campaign filmed during IMS Ibiza 2026. Her current schedule includes appearances at Pikes, Tomorrowland Store, and Ibiza Sonica, followed by an August tour in India with dates in Goa, Delhi, and Bangalore.

Her previous releases include ‘Signs’, a collaboration with Patrick Scuro and The Post Brothers on Animarum Recordings.
