David Shaw and the Beat’s 2023 single ‘The Mechanic of Your Power’ returns with a fresh remix by Ivan Smagghe and Johnny Aux.

The track, part of Shaw’s double album ‘Love Songs with a Kick Vol. 2&3’, is known for its pulsing bassline and robotic energy, exploring themes of obsessive love.

This new version emerges from Smagghe and Aux’s Hermitage Studios, reuniting Shaw with his former Blackstrobe bandmate Smagghe. The remix delivers a stripped-back, minimal rework that balances the original’s tension with a late-night dancefloor atmosphere.
