Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and Insomniac have announced Map Point Summit, a new conference focused on electronic music and rave culture. The inaugural event will take place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in May 2027.
The three-day gathering will be held between the Dusk weekend of EDC, May 14th–16th, and its Dawn weekend, May 21st–23rd. It will bring together independent promoters, artists, creators, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals for educational sessions, workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities.
The conference takes its name from the underground rave tradition of meeting at designated map points, where attendees received directions to otherwise undisclosed party locations. The organizers intend to reinterpret that concept as a meeting place for the electronic music community.
Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella introduced the project during a keynote conversation at the 30th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event. Moderated by Billboard Dance Director Katie Bain, the discussion addressed independent promoters, rave culture, and the development of a more sustainable industry ecosystem.
“We need to support independent promoters, share knowledge, create opportunities for the next generation, and work together to build an industry that allows rave culture to thrive on its own terms,” said Rotella.
The collaboration combines Insomniac’s experience in live electronic music events with ADE’s conference, education, and professional development programs.
Additional speakers, programming, and ticket information have yet to be announced.
