fabric Records has announced a new compilation mixed by Palms Trax, scheduled for release on November 27th, 2026. The 20-track project is preceded by ‘Kaila’s Photos’, a collaboration with Mathew Jonson released on October 14th.
The compilation brings together original productions, collaborations, and selections from Palms Trax’s personal collection. It also includes a double-vinyl sampler featuring rare recordings pressed to vinyl for the first time, alongside contributions involving Ogazón.
The first single, ‘Kaila’s Photos’, brings together two distinct approaches to electronic music. A longstanding influence on Palms Trax’s sound, Mathew Jonson contributes his analogue experimentation to the collaboration, combining hypnotic grooves with expansive textures and minimal arrangements.
Born in the UK and based in Berlin, Palms Trax, also known as Jay Donaldson, has spent more than a decade developing a musical approach that draws from house, techno, and other forms of dance music. His productions and DJ sets reflect an interest in connecting different eras and styles through both familiar and lesser-known recordings.
His contribution to the fabric series brings these influences together, combining contemporary productions with personal selections and rediscovered material. The project reflects the breadth of his musical interests while placing his own work alongside collaborations and records that have shaped his approach to DJing.
