Gradient has outlined an upcoming partnership with Apple Music that will see the platform become an official curator.
Founded in 2023, Gradient operates across label releases, guest mixes, artist bookings, live events, and editorial. Its founder developed the project after previously helping run California-based Groove Labs, with the new platform built around emerging artists and underground dance music.
The project initially focused on guest mixes as a way to develop relationships with artists and build an audience before expanding into events and label activity. According to the founder story, two earlier attempts to launch the label were held back before Robin Graham’s demos arrived in 2025 and became its first release.
Gradient lists Robin Graham, Kepler, Bassel Darwish, Andre Zimmer, Tom Santa, Bakke, Nu Zau, and Sepp among its featured collaborators.
