New York independent label Gradient has launched an official curator page on Apple Music, bringing its underground guest mix series to the streaming platform.
The partnership centers on equitable compensation, utilizing Apple Music’s model to pay both the DJs curating the mixes and the underlying track rights holders. Founded by Sahil Morchi, Gradient has built its reputation on supporting underground dance music through intentional curation, design, and storytelling.
The new channel features select guest mixes designed to connect listeners with emerging artists and experimental sounds. New and archival recordings will be added to the platform on a regular schedule.
Operating out of New York, Gradient functions as both a record label and an event platform dedicated to pushing the next generation of underground electronic music forward.
The curator page is available here.
