Boston-based producer, songwriter, and musician Jack Willard released his debut album, ‘Echoes,’ via Colorize. Spanning eleven tracks, the record brings together a year of songwriting, organic instrumentation, and electronic production.
The LP follows a campaign that introduced ‘Echoes’ through singles including ‘Light Shines’, ‘Move With Soul’, ‘Give Up The Ghost’, ‘Waiting’, and ‘Searching For You’. It closes with ‘Call To Me’, a collaboration with singer-songwriter MØØNE that reunites the pair following ‘Everything All At Once’. Elsewhere, the project includes Little Foot and Ava Sofia on ‘Light Shines’, Matthew Adam Green on ‘Move With Soul’, JOSEFINA on ‘Slow Burn’, and Guy Didden on ‘Over & Over’.
The project began while Willard was completing his ‘Patterns’ EP, when he developed around 20 piano ideas and shared them with the Colorize team. He later built the songs around vocal performances where appropriate and created more than 200 original Serum patches that became part of the album’s sonic palette. Piano-led songwriting sits alongside vocal arrangements, electronic production, and more instrumental material including ‘Lotus’ and ‘Time’.
“I wrote ‘Echoes’ during a period of change and growth in my life” says Jack Willard. “Writing, producing, mixing, and releasing an album while working a corporate job and starting a family was a lot to take on. I’m extremely proud of the result and grateful to everyone who contributed to the project. I learned a ton through the process.”
Since ‘Big Sky’ marked his debut release on Colorize in 2023, Willard’s catalogue has accumulated more than 50 million streams, over 250 SiriusXM Chill spins, BBC Radio 1 support, and more than 500 radio plays across 20 countries. His music has also received support from Above & Beyond, Sultan + Shepard, PRAANA, and Mees Salomé.
