Marcel Dettmann announces ‘My Own Shadow’ album on !K7

Arriving November 13th, with ‘Resolution Vector’ out now.

Marcel Dettmann has announced ‘My Own Shadow: Album,’  set for release on November 13th, 2026, via !K7 Records. Its first single, ‘Resolution Vector’, is now available followed by ‘Gravitational Scar’ to be out on October 14th.

The album expands Dettmann’s My Own Shadow project, which brought together music, photography, and visual work across the ‘Approaching’ EP in 2025 and ‘Faultline’ in 2026.

“My Own Shadow wasn’t born from a big concept. I simply liked the idea of working under another name and started following it,” Dettmann explains. “My Own Shadow isn’t another person. My Own Shadow is me – just seen from another perspective.”

Built around rhythm, texture, space, and tension, the album draws on Dettmann’s process of reshaping sounds until they take on new forms, while maintaining a connection to his experience of the dancefloor.
