About Nicole Moudaber

Nicole Moudaber is a DJ, producer, label founder and radio host. Born in Nigeria with Lebanese roots and based in London, she is known primarily for techno, with house, tech house and deep house also shaping her musical range.

From Beirut to London

Moudaber began promoting parties in Beirut in the 1990s and helped develop the city's underground club culture. She moved to London in 2000, later establishing herself as a DJ and producer. Rhythms heard during her childhood in Nigeria and experiences on international dance floors remain part of her musical background.

Music and collaborations

Her sound combines prominent percussion, powerful bass and hypnotic grooves, ranging from dark techno to melodic, uplifting club music. Carl Cox was an early supporter. Her releases have appeared on Intec, Drumcode, Hot Creations, Higher Ground, Nervous Records and Armada.

Key releases include her debut album Believe (Drumcode, 2013), BREED with Skunk Anansie vocalist Skin (2015), and her remix of Alcatraz's Giv Me Luv. Her collaborators also include Chris Liebing, Jamie Jones, Ida Engberg, Moby, Armin van Buuren and the London Community Gospel Choir.

MOOD Records and MoodCollective

She founded MOOD Records in 2013, releasing her own work alongside established and emerging artists. In 2025 she launched MoodCollective, focusing on house and tech house. Its first release was Get Back, a collaboration with Castion.

In The MOOD

Her weekly radio show In The MOOD launched in 2014. Broadcast internationally, it moves between hypnotic house and driving techno and also features guest mixes. Episodes and DJ sets are available through her official SoundCloud, Mixcloud and YouTube channels. Her radio projects also include a monthly Apple Music show.

Clubs, festivals and events

Her appearances include Coachella, Glastonbury, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Time Warp and Awakenings, as well as clubs such as Space Ibiza, DC-10, Output and Stereo. Her own MOOD event concepts include MoodRAW warehouse parties, MoodDAY, MoodNIGHT and MoodZONE festival stages.

Values and community

Self-expression, personal freedom and diversity underpin her work. She advocates gender equality in electronic music. Drumcode also documents her support for New York's Lower Eastside Girls Club, helping disadvantaged young women access music opportunities.
