Satēlite Records and Early Reflections collab on ‘Silensis’

Featuring a track by Alex Galvan and Andec James, plus remixes from VUH, Mario Eighta, Leonardo (MX), and Alberto Hernandez (MX).

Alex Galvan and Andec James come together on ‘Silensis,’ a collaborative project that grew from a simple studio idea into a wider exchange between artists and labels.

The track began with Galvan developing its main groove and melody before sharing the unfinished piece with Andec James. The connection was immediate, and the pair completed the music during a second studio session. Initially conceived as an instrumental, ‘Silensis’ found another part of its identity later, when Galvan wrote the lyrics while working alone in the studio.

At the heart of the release is the idea of sacred silence. For both artists,  silence represents a space for clarity, introspection, and reconnection. Working in an environment constantly filled with music, events, and noise, they became interested in what can happen creatively when everything becomes quiet.

That idea can be heard throughout the original. Organic percussion and low-end movement form its rhythmic foundation, joined by sparse analog textures, atmospheric synths, and vocals that move between spoken and melodic delivery. Instead of relying on constant intensity, the arrangement develops gradually, allowing tension, rhythm, and open space to shape its progression.

The project soon grew beyond the original track. After hearing ‘Silensis,’ Mario Eighta of Early Reflections proposed creating a Mexican remix package and bringing Satēlite  Records and Early Reflections together for the release.

The resulting interpretations place ‘Silensis’ in several different club settings. VUH and Mario Eighta move toward Indie Dance, while Mario Eighta and Leonardo (MX) approach the track through a Re Tribe Mix rooted in Melodic House & Techno and tribal elements. Alberto Hernandez (MX) completes the package with a warmer, more melodic version built around atmospheric movement.

“For us, Silensis represents collaboration in its purest form. It started as a simple idea in the studio and grew into a project connecting us, a group of Mexican artists, and two labels, Satélite Records and Early Reflections, around the same piece of music,” says Alex Galvan.

Through the original and its three reinterpretations, ‘Silensis’ connects different artists and club perspectives around a common starting point, while keeping the relationship between rhythm and silence at its center.
